Mr. Bounds was appointed Chief Executive Officer on December 29, 2016 after having served as the Chief Operating Officer for VAALCO since July, 2015 as well as interim Chief Executive Officer since September 1, 2016 Mr. Bounds has held a variety of technical and management positions of increasing responsibility with major energy companies as well as independent E&P companies.
Prior to joining the Company, Mr. Bounds was Business Unit Manager and Vice President, Noble Energy Equatorial Guinea Limited from May 2013 until July 2015. Earlier in his tenure with Noble, Mr. Bounds held the position of North Sea Country Manager from April 2010 until May 2013. Prior to Noble, Mr. Bounds was the Engineering and Planning Manager, Worldwide for Terralliance Technologies, Inc. from 2007 to 2010 and served as their Country Manager in Mozambique from 2007 to 2010. Mr. Bounds was with SM Energy from 2004 to 2007 and held the position of Engineering Manager for their Gulf Coast and Permian regions. Mr. Bounds spent five years with Dominion E&P serving in corporate development, planning and reservoir engineering positions. Mr. Bounds began his career with ConocoPhillips in 1991 where he held a variety of reservoir and production engineering positions in U.S. onshore regions.
Mr. Bounds holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Petroleum Engineering from Texas A&M University.
Ms. Wilkinson has served as Interim Chief Financial Officer at VAALCO since May 2016. Ms. Wilkinson has assumed this interim role at VAALCO in connection with her position as a Managing Consultant in accounting and finance for Resources Global Professionals (“RGP”), where she has been employed since January 2012. Prior to RGP, Ms. Wilkinson served as Chief Financial Officer at Xtreme Drilling and Coil Services from March 2009 to March 2011, as Vice President – Investor Relations and Treasurer for Eagle Rock Energy Partners, L.P. from January 2008 to March 2009, as an independent consultant from September 2004 to December 2007 and as Vice President and Treasurer of Kerr-McGee Corporation from November 2002 to September 2004.
Ms. Wilkinson holds a BSBA in Management Science and an MBA in Finance from the University of Florida and is a CPA licensed in the State of Texas.
Before joining VAALCO, Mr. Goodman held a series of E&P technical and management positions with Shell and ExxonMobil (EM), before retiring from EM in early 2014 after over 24 years.
Mr. Goodman began his professional career with Shell in 1980 in New Orleans, as a Senior Geologist working on Gulf Coast and Gulf of Mexico operational and lease-sale exploration teams, before attending graduate school in 1985. He joined Exxon Production Research Co. in 1989 and worked on several regional basin and play studies of Asia, as well as of northern South America. After a series of supervisory and planning assignments and the EM merger, Mr. Goodman coordinated a large, global technology group for EM Exploration Co., before becoming Manager for the Eastern and Central Gulf of Mexico in 2002. From 2005 to 2007, Mr. Goodman was Middle East Geoscience Manager for EM Production Co., including Qatar North Field and UAE Upper Zakum. After managing a large project to deliver new play concepts, he became Operations Technical Manager for Angola development and production, Subsurface. Mr. Goodman returned to EM Exploration in 2012 as a Senior Advisor in Global Business Development and Strategic Planning.
Mr. Goodman has a Ph. D. from the University of California, Santa Barbara, in Geological Sciences, where he was voted Outstanding Alumnus in 2007. He also holds a B.S. degree in Earth and Space Sciences from Stony Brook University. He was voted to serve as AAPG Distinguished Lecturer in 2002-2003.
Ms. Prochnow has served as the Company’s Chief Accounting Officer since March 2015. Ms. Prochnow has held a variety of finance management positions primarily with publicly traded companies including a number of companies in the energy sector.
Prior to joining the Company, Ms. Prochnow served as Controller and Chief Accounting Officer for Total Safety, U.S., Inc. from August 2014 to March 2015. Prior to that, she served as a director of Carrtegra, LLC, a financial advisory consulting firm, from June 2013 to August 2014 with a focus on E&P companies and as Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer of Sterling Construction Company, Inc. (Nasdaq: STRL) from November 2011 to May 2013. Before beginning with Sterling in February 2011, Ms. Prochnow was Vice President, Finance and Chief Financial Officer of Bristow Group Inc. (NYSE: BRS) from May 2009 to June 2010 and Vice President, Chief Accounting Officer and Controller from 2005 to 2009. From 1997 to 2005, Ms. Prochnow served in positions of increasing responsibility at MAXXAM Inc., ultimately as the company’s Vice President and Controller. Before MAXXAM, Ms. Prochnow served as the Controller and Chief Accounting Officer of GulfMark Offshore, Inc. (formerly GulfMark International, Inc. (NYSE:GLF)) from 1990 to 1996. Ms. Prochnow began her career as a public accountant at Arthur Anderson LLP in 1981.
Ms. Prochnow holds a Bachelor of Arts and a Masters of Accounting from Rice University and is a certified public accountant in the State of Texas.
Since joining VAALCO in 2008, Mr. Parker has served as the Company’s Senior Exploration Geologist, Chief Geologist and, most recently, VP of Exploration & Development. He has managed the investigations into and production from all of the Company’s recent focus areas including Equatorial Guinea, Angola and Gabon.
Early in his career Mr. Parker was employed by independent operators involved in exploration & development in the US Mid-Continent including multiple projects in Texas, Kansas and Oklahoma. His subsequent assignments in the international arena have included exploration & development projects in multiple basins in the Far East, central Europe, and the Atlantic margins including Brazil and West Africa. He has additional experience on the shelf and in the deepwater of the Gulf of Mexico. From 2006 to 2008 Mr. Parker was Senior Exploration Geologist in the Houston office of JX Nippon and from 2002 to 2006 a consultant to Devon Energy for projects in Ghana, Angola and Brazil. From 1998 to 2002 he held the position of Senior Exploration Geologist for EEX Corporation for projects in the Gulf of Mexico and Indonesia and from 1996 to 1998 as a consultant to Gulf Indonesia involved in development efforts in the South Sumatra Basin.
Mr. Parker holds a Bachelor’s degree in Geology from Dartmouth College.
Mr. Coulter joined VAALCO in April 2013 and has served as Vice President – Strategic Planning and Marketing & Treasurer since April 2015. Prior to joining VAALCO, Mr. Coulter served as a Financial Analyst at ATP Oil & Gas Corporation from September 2010 to March 2013. Prior to ATP, Mr. Coulter began his career at UHY LLP as a Senior Accountant in 2008 to September 2010, where he performed audit and review for clients representing a diverse group of business enterprises.
Mr. Coulter holds a Masters of Professional Accountancy and Bachelor of Business Administration from Stephen F. Austin State University
