History

VAALCO Energy, Inc., a Delaware corporation incorporated in 1985, is a Houston-based independent energy company originally engaged in the acquisition, exploration, development and production of crude oil and natural gas in the Philippines. Today, VAALCO owns producing properties and conducts exploration activities as operator in Gabon, West Africa, conducts exploration activities as an operator in Angola, West Africa, and has conducted exploration activities as a non-operator in the British North Sea. Beginning in late-2010, VAALCO has acquired interests in four shale play properties in Texas and Montana totaling in excess of 20,000 net interest acres. Additionally, the Company owns minor interests in production activities as a non-operator in the United States.
